I never had grasped how many books you actually need to learn all the glyphs (or to learn at least the 5 best-selling ones from those 50). If you need gold THAT bad go and grind some quests or farm Stratholme for a couple of hours like the rest of us! Stop ninjaing OUR items!Ĭomment by 435814Hmm i recently made a rogue and took inscription. With any luck the market will soon drop out when everyone starts undercutting eachother on the AH and realises that the book isnt worth buying at 400g odd. Why should we have to pay someone 400g for a book in the vain hope that the glyph we get will be rare enough to make some money on the AH, when we are the only people who should have them in the first place? The item is for inscriptors only and as such should only be needed on by inscriptors. I have even been accused of being a ninja when I asked a group if I could need on one! Surely, in any group, an inscriptor should get first refusal of the item? Needing an item just because it is valuable is totally unfair - how #$%^ed off would say a Pala be if I needed on his epic plate drop because I can DE it and sell the abyss crystall for 100g on the AH? Or any piece of epic armour/weaponry for that matter. Would it not be safe to assume that as these books are proffession specific, the only people who actually 'need' them are inscriptors? I have lost a number of these in groups as everybody rolls on them because of their percieved value. Either the drop rate has been upped significantly (see point 2), or they weren't as rare as first thought.Ĭomment by 340332Just want to have a bit of a winge really: Prices will definitely drop as more scribes learn these recipes and start undercutting.ĮDIT: They're selling for 500g-1000g on my server now, even though the patch has only been out for a day. The glyphs these teach are very attractive and the actual glyphs are going for 100g to 3000g on the AH. The cost of these varies according to server, but I've seen them from sold from 1000g to 5000g on mine. * Unlike inscription research, there is no cooldown to these books- you can learn as many as you want per day.įor a full list of glyphs this may teach, visit this link (click on the inscription tab): * Can only be used by scribes with 425+ inscription level and the glyph they will learn is a random, from the ones added in patch 3.1 * They are BOE, can be traded/sold on the ah and will drop for non-scribes * They are Uncommon (green) quality, not Rare (blue) as it states on wowhead currently (EDIT: Looks like wowhead has updated this) * They started off as having the drop rate of epics, but the drop rate as since been increased ( blue post) Possibly a level 75+ mob requirement, and may even have a higher drop rate in heroics and raids. Though there appears to have a level requirement on the mob for them to drop since no one has reported them dropping from Howling Forjd or Borean Tundra yet. If you are planting this succulent outdoors, you can keep the soil well-drained by introducing sandy soil into the planting hole. The pot where you grow the plant should also have enough drainage holes to keep it safe from waterlogging, which could be the greatest danger to its health. You can buy a cactus mix as pottage but ensure you mix it with gravel or pumice at a ratio of 80% gravel and 20% cactus mix. You should plant this on the same soil type if you want to domesticate it in a pot or a garden. The soil should be easy to drain away any extra water. This plant’s natural habitat is relatively arid and is, therefore, adapted to grow on the same type of substrate. Therefore, if your area experiences freezing temperatures, keep the plant indoors so you can control the temperature artificially. Temperatures below 15 oc can cause damage to the plant. This stick plant is not cold-hardy at all. It does best with temperatures above 21 oC, and higher temperatures are preferred during the plant’s growing season. The other vital consideration on placement is temperature, a crucial determinant of your plant’s health. You could move a houseplant outdoors for four to six hours if it proved difficult for it to get sufficient light inside the house. The plant needs the most light, and you should see it gets it. A room painted in bright colors is an added advantage because it reflects light ensuring your pant gets most of it.ĭevil’s backbone active growth season is in spring and summer. You should then keep the plant about one foot from the window to allow it to absorb the most sunlight possible. Suppose you grow Euphorbia Tithymaloides in the house, the best place to position it near the western or southern windows, which allow direct sunlight into the house. Sufficient light is necessary for some of this plant’s processes, such as flowering, so keeping it in the dark isn’t good for its health. If you want to grow the plant outdoors, you don’t need to worry about the sun’s intensity it can handle it. However, it can survive in partial shade. This plant is supremely light-hardy, and it is improbable that light would affect it negatively. The following is how you take care of Euphorbia Tithymaloides. Sometimes the latex has been added to mil to act as an emetic. Latex (white sap) has also been used to treat insect stings, ear aches, callouses, ringworms, warts, umbilical hernias, and other skin conditions. They use it as an antidote for snake venom. The people of South Africa have been using the plant as traditional medicine. The sap causes the plant to be toxic, so you should consider it when positioning it as a house plant or The Devil’s Backbone Plant’s Benefit The sap is poisonous, irritate the skin when touched, and causes blindness in extreme cases. Like most other plants in the Euphorbia genus, the plant produces milky sap when injured. The flowers mature to produce capsule-like fruits. The Devil’s Backbone produces red flowers that are usually clustered end the end of branches. Its leaves appear in zig-zag formation thin and pointed, the plant may shed some of its leaves. It is a succulent shrub and it is green all through. Origin and DescriptionĮuphorbia Tithymaloides is a native of South Africa. Tithymaloides means fiery spines in Greek therefore, the botanical name describes the plant’s appearance. It is a member of the euphorbia genus widespread in Africa. The spiked vertebrate fits the shared imagination of the devil’s appearance. The rather ominous moniker, ‘devil’s backbone’ comes from the plant’s thorns that appear on the stem and resemble a vertebral column only with thorns. The devil’s backbone in a southern African native. While ceramic tiles are not suitable for outdoor use, they can be used in areas of light to moderate traffic. Ceramic tiles are usually produced by firing red or white clay in a kiln, and coating with a durable glaze which carries the color and pattern. They’re fired at higher temperature, making them stronger, harder and more damage resistant than non-porcelain ceramic tiles. Porcelain tiles are produced from a finer, denser, more impervious clay then ceramic. Tile that absorbs water at a slower rate is normally called porcelain, and is best for high-moisture spaces like bathrooms. The following tile materials can be found around the world.Īs the most common wall tile type, ceramic and porcelain tiles differ namely on water absorption rates. They can also be made from lightweight materials like perlite or wood, though these are far less common. Tiles are manufactured as a piece of hard-wearing material using ceramic, stone, metal, glass, or various types of clay. From materials and sizes to ratings and maintenance, the guide serves as a starting point to understand how tiles can be used in modern designs.įirst and foremost, it’s important to understand that tiles can be made from many, many different materials. Exploring the basics of wall tile selection and specification, we’ve created an intro guide to wall tiles specifically for architects. They are often lighter and thinner than floor tiles. The glazes used in the manufacturing of a wall tile are also different, and are not designed to resist wear from foot traffic. Wall tiles specifically differ from floor tiles in that they are usually not intended to be load bearing. Today, tiles have expanded to encompass a wide range of materials, applications, patterns and designs. Tiles are easy to care for, so they are ideal for high-traffic areas or areas where there’s moisture or dirt. As one of the oldest forms of decorative arts, tiles date as far back as the Egyptians, who decorated their houses with blue tile bricks, as well as the Mesopotamians, who used glazed bricks. Available in a range of sizes, shapes, colors and materials, tiles provide durable surfaces and finishes to both interior and exterior spaces. Stay tuned for the winner's announcement later this summer.įew materials inspire creativity like tiles. Our esteemed jury is now reviewing the submissions for this year's A+Product Awards. There are of course other differences you will find in the markers and writing on the dial, but the above are the most noteworthy. To start off, the Seiko 5 Sports SNZG watches are now much bigger at 41.5mm case size, thickness of 11.70mm, and lug width size has been changed from the rare 18mm to the more common 22mm. And frankly, that is what this timepiece is made for. It shows a touch of sportiness, but still mostly an elegant and classy With its silver dial, its a very discreet watch that doesn’t stand out too much, but at the same time, it is sporty enough to be used as an everyday timepiece. But what is interesting is the placement of the crown, which is at 4 o’clock on the SNK809 (common in many Series 5 dive watches) but 3 o’clock on the SNGZ15. The Seiko 5 SNK355 is a small, clean, and refined timepiece. They both have a day/date window at 3 o’clock which is not surprising given they are Seiko Series 5 watches. The hands are also diamond-shaped on the SNK809, while the SNGZ15 has batons. The SNGZ15 has a recessed inner part of the dial with hours on the outer ring, and a 24hr set on the inner ring (so no minute numbering). The SNK809 has a dominant minute numbering on the outer ring, with the inner ring of numbers showing the hours. They are both field style watches which focus more on functionality than style, but this will suit many of you. The case is only 1mm difference in thickness, but the SNK809 also uses the smaller 18mm strap, while the SNGZ15 uses the 22mm. The other main differences are in the dial, with the smaller SNK809 being only 37mm across, while the SNGZ15 is larger at 41mm. There is a significant difference in water resistance, with the SNK809 being only 30m (splash-proof) while the SNGZ15 is 100m so you should be able to swim with it no problem. Although, if you check the actual features and specs, the are more or less the same. Movementįirst, the SNK809 uses the older 7s26 movement, compared to the 7s36 in the SNZG15. Marcos Jr.’s win is not just a loss for Robredo, “it’s a loss for the Filipino community.” That’s why this year’s election “brings back some trauma” for the victims of martial law, Furukawa said. She knows of friends on Oahu who were jailed and tortured, and others who remember the arrival of the Marcos family in Hawaii “with their boxes filled with jewelry and money.” “They don’t even mention the martial law, just completely deny the wrongdoing of the Marcoses.”įurukawa said she has family who experienced martial law in the Philippines, including uncles who were involved in student government organizations and rallies and were subject to “red-tagging,” essentially getting blacklisted by the government and fearing possible execution. “Many families have supported the Marcos family, and if you interact with them, they would say during the Marcos regime, the Philippines was in the golden era,” said Furukawa, who hails from Quezon City in Manila. In conclusion, a significant proportion of CHD events in adults with T2DM could be prevented from composite control of risk factors often not at goal.“All these risk engines have various degrees of accuracy along with several limitations, including that they are derived from data from various populations,” Vivian A. Nominal risk factor control was projected to prevent 36% and 38% and aggressive control 51% and 61% of CHD events, respectively. Controlling all risk factors to goal was projected to prevent 35% and 45% of CHD events in men and women, respectively. Of 606 men (representing 6.2 million) and 603 women (6.3 million) with DM and no previous CHD, 1.3 million men and 0.7 million women would develop a CHD event within 10 years if left uncontrolled. We examined in all those not at goal the impact of statistical control of smoking, glycated hemoglobin, systolic blood pressure, and total and high-density lipoprotein cholesterol, according to the predefined criteria setting risk factors at different levels of control representing (1) “All to Goal,” (2) at “Nominal Control,” or (3) at “Aggressive Control.” Preventable CHD events represented the difference between the number of events estimated from the control of these risk factors versus current levels of the risk factors. Among US adults with diagnosed T2DM aged ≥30 years in the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey 2007 to 2012, we assessed CHD events preventable using the United Kingdom Prospective Diabetes Study CHD risk engine. We examined the potential US population impact of single and composite risk factor control. Type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) carries significant risks for coronary heart disease (CHD). |
